Evelyn Watkins

Evelyn Watkins is from Lufkin Texas and hearing her story left me very inspired! She has made a quilt out of many different types of pink fabrics to donate for the Relay for Life, which is being held at the Lufkin Middle School on May 5th. The quilt is 63" by 35". She has used some of her mother's vintage, donated, and some of her own fabrics to create the wonderful quilt. She even embroidered a special messaged on the back, which says, "I am a survivor. Designed pieced quilted by Evelyn Watkins. April 12, 2010. For Kurth. For donations for fund raising.

A beautiful day with Botany

Such a beautiful day....the door is wide open and a fresh breeze is flowing through the shop!  Main Street is such a great place to be.  The sounds of people, laughter and traffic.  The town is abuzz with activity.  It makes me feel alive and creative today.  I'm working on a quilt top with the new Botany Line of frabric from Moda and just as the name indicates it is alive with flowers and leaves.  Colors are salmons and greens.  It's beautiful!

BOTANY IS IN!! The Botany fabric just came in! Come and get some before we run out of this beautiful fabric!!

The weather has been so nice lately! But dont forget to come in and see all the new things we have! The One Million Pillowcase Challenge is still in full effect and everyone has done AMAZING!! Keep up the great work!!
